I didn’t have much time to spare today so didn’t get this one finished. As for me it’s more about the process than the finished result I’m not too worried about not having finished it.
Music: ‘The Lighting of the Beacons’, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Complete Recordings
This video was produced as a promo for the Behance network.
“Four artists were given 5 hours, along with paint brushes, pens, pencils, a hairdryer, ink, acrylic paint, water color, markers, and collage. They were told simply, “Do your thing and play off each other,” with each starting at a different corner of the canvas.”
For the people who signed up today - I’ll add you to the blog roll by tomorrow at latest.
And everyone else; since I am taking the time to link your sites I would really appreciate it if those who haven’t done so yet link back to my site too. Thank you.
Happy mark-making!
ETA: in response to a couple of requests I’ve created an Invitation only Flickr group. To receive your invitation add me as a contact and flickr mail me.
My first drawing for this year’s Big Draw. A relatively quick sketch and all I can fit in today as I have a whole lot of revision to do! Back to the books :(
I found this list in one of The Campaign for Drawing’s resource packs. So if you find yourself flagging at any point of our Big Draw adventure perhaps this A to Z might help get you going again:
A something above eye level
B something below knee level
C contrast
D detail
E elevation Read on..
If you are one of those people who feel that you really can’t draw or maybe you’ve only recently started to draw or indeed come back to drawing after a long break and feel stuck at a certain level then I would heartily recommend the above books.
