The Tale of How

Posted in: •AnimationArt Elsewhere

I am busy with revision for my forthcoming OU exam hence the lack of posts and visits to other blogs. However I couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful animation which was featured on Vimeo’s homepage today:

Find out more about The Black Heart Gang here.

Sigh, I love animation. If I could go back 20 years and start over I think I would want to be an animator.

Creative Every Day

quick sketch of wolf

I’ve signed up for Leah’s Creative Every Day 2008 challenge.

This challenge is about getting more creativity into your everyday life. It’s about creativity in its broadest sense and while with me that’s probably going to translate into drawing of some description it can mean all sorts of little acts of creativity.

I don’t imagine I’ll be posting every day. I want this to be fun and not to start to feel like a chore. I have plenty of other sources of stress in my life and this particular challenge is, for me anyway, about allowing myself an escape avenue from the day to day grind of workaday life.

My creativity for New Year’s was specially fun:)

That was fast!

Posted in: •AnimationBooksFictionTV/Movies

My Lemony Snicket box set was sitting waiting for me at work when I arrived yesterday morning. Impressively fast delivery! Not that I’ll be reading them just yet, not with the last Harry Potter only days away!

And while we’re on the subject of Lemony Snicket…
