Art Every Day - Star Boy!!!!

Random silliness:

I obviously have a fetish for redheads! Perhaps he’s ’Sad Girl’s‘ little brother? And she was sad because he’s run off on an Big Adventure? Maybe he’s gone chasing a star like Tristan in Stardust? Or through a magic wardrobe, or down a rabbit hole…

Another long day

It’s 9.15pm and I’m only just home from work so whatever creative thing I do today it’s going to have be short and quick as I still need to have food - all I’ve eaten today is a sandwich and two sticks of shortbread (and I wonder why I’m so scrawny?!).

Anyway, I really, really want to get some quality reading in before bed which leaves very limited time for drawing...I’m thinking something silly and frivolous…

In other news I have officially registered for my next OU course. Consequently I’m feeling very poor and I shall probably break down and weep when I get my next credit card bill :(

And all for the sake of better grammar!

It also means that I’m going to have to get in as much drawing as possible between now and the end of January because come Feb 2 I’ll be hitting the books again and I strongly suspect that U211 is going to be a lot more demanding timewise than A103 was.

Art Every Day - Hand

This weekend proved a whole lot busier than expected so I didn’t get much time to get creative. I did manage to fill another page in my art journal however:

This sort of harks back to my first effort for The Big Draw when I did outlines of my hand. This time I got messy and made a print with my hand, then drew around it in pen and overpainted with some metallic acrylics.

I accidentally spilled some ink and it turned into this:

Did you ever do those pictures in school where you poured out some really watery paint and then blew on it through a straw to make a picture? Well that’s basically what I did, and it grew into a tree:)

A new month - a new challenge

In an effort to keep up the momentum created during my Big Draw project I’ve decided to take part in this year’s Creative Every Day.
