An update
Some of the things that have kept me from blogging these past few weeks:
Senzazione - A theatrical funfair with a low carbon footprint (in other words all the rides are human powered!)
David Geraghty - really, really enjoyed this gig. A polished, tight set. Great musicianship - his band are fantastic and the backing vocalist Clare Finglas has some mighty vocal chords!
John Shelly and the Creatures - Completely new band to me, reminded me of Pearl Jam (the vocals especially), Neil Young, Elbow, Kings of Leon. Would def’ go see again.
Carly Sings - decidedly kooky, reminded me of both Feist and Emiliana Torrini.
Oh and of course online I have been enjoying Joss Whedon’s weird and wacky musical superhero dramedy Dr Horrible’s Singalong Blog!
I haven’t finished The Inheritance of Lost yet, I’ve been reading it on my lunch hour except I’m so busy at work that I’ve been eating at my desk more often than not hence the slow progress. I’m about half way through so should get it finished in the next couple of days. I’ve also been reading some Borges again including the rather splendidly named ‘The Uncivil Teacher of Court Etiquette Kotsuké no Suké’ and ‘The Library of Babel’.
I have also done NO studying since my last TMA. My next TMA is due in 11 days which means I have almost a whole block (i.e. 1/4 of my course!) to cover between now and then. Eeek!
