Another journal page

another page from my art journal

I did this page this evening in an effort to distract me from the raging storm outside. There are gale force winds battering my little house and the power has been been threatening to die all evening.

I’m seriously considering sleeping under the bed! Just in case! I feel like I could be in one of Amy Casey’s paintings ;)

I very much like the lay out of this page.
And the gold ink too.

I do hope you survived your storm and did not have to sleep under your bed. Those are sure topsy turvy houses in that artist’s paintings.
Do stay afloat!

Lovely, slightly antiqued and romantic too.  You have been busy.
It has been stormy here too, but not so bad as where you are.  I hope you (and the house) survived? :-)

Hello Lynn and Elizabeth *waves*

I survived the storm unscathed! And my little house too!

I got off pretty lightly as it happens, as over 16,000 homes in my area were left without electricity for most of the night (and a lot of the next day too). Aside from a tripped fuse and some interruptions to my broadband connection, I had no real bother (although the rather alarming noises coming from my roof during the height of the storm didn’t help matters).

When I was a child I LOVED storms! Especially if the power went out. It was an excuse to light candles and be melodramatic! Now I still love the sound of the howling wind but when that wind is hitting over 100kph? Then I get a little nervous…

It was officially our worse storm since the Boxing Day Storm of 1998. I remember that one well as one of my neighbours had the roof of their house completely ripped off.

I really like this page (found via flickr). I like that you frame the images with white, it really makes the squares stand out and show the a pattern on the page. :-)

well, great work. I’m creative everyday too though I don’t post my pages very often at my blog but other stuff.
