Snow leopard sketch 2
Another sketch inspired by my visit to Dublin zoo:
This was drawn in the Daler Rowney sketchbook that I mentioned in this post. As you can see the recycled paper it is made from is tinted brown. It makes a nice change from working on stark white paper. For this sketch I used a mixture of soft pastels and Pitt Artist pens.
Snow leopards are listed as an endangered species on the World Conservation Union’s Red List. At present, the Snow Leopard Trust estimates that there are only 3,500 to 7,500 surviving in the wild today and somewhere between 600 to 700 living in various zoos around the world.
