The Big Draw: Day 1

My first drawing for this year’s Big Draw. A relatively quick sketch and all I can fit in today as I have a whole lot of revision to do! Back to the books :(

I’ve been reading your posts about The Big Draw for a couple of days ago. I finally decided, in the wee hours of the morning, to participate. Actually, I found myself drawing on Day One, and thought “why not?” It’s not like this October is going to be the busiest month of my life! But ya know what? I think I’ll grow so much as an artist, that it will be worth cramming one more project in.

It’s not just that I’m busy this month; drawing is really scary and stressful for me. It would have been so much easier to skip over your posts and move on to the next thing. But, I realize that at some point “the next thing” is limited for me (as an artist) because I don’t draw.

Add me to your blogroll, please! I’d like some accountability in this venture!
