There were roses…

A couple of my rose sketches from Sunday:
This one was a quick sketch focusing on negative space:
while this was a more detailed drawing:
Labyrinthine indeed. It is easy to lose your way in those furls of petals. Not the easiest of things to draw but very pretty.

Not at all easy, much easier with my camera on walks yesterday and today...roses, my mom’s favorite in her day, grew up with big rose garden she tended in our garden at home.

Love the lepord on the right. He looks like he’d finish drinking and the leap on his prey.
